Come around the final full year of the pandemic of 2022 and rounding out the end of the pandemic in 2023, They'us had bit the dust at the beginning of 2022 due to an uncomfortable feeling around live shows opening back up during another huge spike in positive Covid results. At this time I was making assorted random tunes and many of which were to just exist on my computer until the end of time.
At some point around 2023, after not doing really anything musical, I had decided to release all of the demos that i had accumulated since starting to make music. Every single track was found on my computer and then released on Soundcloud.
Many of these tracks are shorter than a minute and some are full length songs that showed the increase in production quality as I got better at recording myself. One of my personal favorites is 'Electric Fly'.
This song is purely instrumental but was set aside in hopes that i would make something out of it at some point in the future, might still happen but who knows. This was a great experiment when it came to layering guitars and playing around with making huge sounding guitars.

Some of my top favorites alongside 'Electric Fly' are 'Space Time Botanical Garden' and also 'Going to Work'. These two demos are very near to my heart as 'STBG' was a really great song that had an almost punk surf vibe to it and was written, and recorded all within 6 hours i believe on a random day off.
Following that, 'Going to Work' is one of my top silly tunes that is just random samples from the apple loop library layered on each other with some stupid vocals from my roommate and I describing the things we do to get to work. Trust me you'll be entertained...
These songs around this time were almost just assorted thoughts in a stream of conscious. Random sandcastles to be washed away when the tide got high. There was no meaning or intent behind them other than just to create. I think at the time it was my way of coping with the circumstances of the pandemic and the aftermath.
I went through different phases, different jobs, and even different personalities and identities. I became someone else on the outside, yet all these songs were created in order to anchor myself. This is a feeling I have lost since but continue to strive for today. Dozens of random tracks of just capturing ideas, something I believe I will continue to do. Each 30 second clip is a moment in which I might've tried something new, and that was my catalyst to improve as an artist.
